The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a huge success for over a decade, and several actors have become known all over the world because of it. So far, only a few characters have been played by different people after their first appearance. But now, the MCU is getting another cast change. William Hurt’s role as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross will be played by Harrison Ford, who has been in movies for a long time.
No matter how important this role sounds, it’s probably not a good idea. Ford doesn’t look all that much like Hurt, and his feelings about franchise movies make it hard to understand why he’s in the MCU. Here are some reasons why it will be hard to take the recent recasting seriously, especially if Thunderbolt Ross starts “seeing red” soon.
