High Water is a new web show on Netflix on October 5, 2022. With 222 million subscribers worldwide, Netflix is one of the most extensive streaming services. Jan Holoubek and Bartomiej Ignaciuk are the two responsible for making High Water.
Anna Kempinski is in charge of making the show. Kasper Bajon and Kinga Krzeminska wrote it. There are 6 episodes in all. The length of each episode is 45 minutes. Overall, it’s an excellent show to watch. High Water is a Polish show that also has English subtitles. The genre for this type of show is also Political. Many things in the series are about politics.
The High Water series is based on things that really happened. In 1997, when a flood threatened the city, scientists and people in charge of the local government were in a tough spot. The water level was rising very quickly. 1903 was the last time they had to deal with a flood.
So, nobody thought something like this would happen again. The flood killed 56 people and took away everything from 40,000 others. 12 billion PLN worth of damage was done by the flood (Polish zloty)
After the Second World War, this was the worst thing to happen to the people of the flooded cities. Soon after the flood, the Polish rock band “Hey” published a charity single called “Moja and Twoja Nadezieja,” performed by some of Poland’s best artists.

All of the money from selling this single went to help people who were hurt by the floods. This song also became the unofficial anthem of the people affected by the floods. After the flood, they had to rebuild the city. The people who made High Water talked to over a hundred people who had been through or seen a surge.

High Water’s first season ended well, so a second season is not expected. So, we think a new High Water series season might not come out for at least a couple more years.

High Water Season 2 Story
No one knows what happens in Season 2 of High Water. Most likely, High Water won’t have another season. Making a sequel to High Water might show how people in Wroclaw lived after the floods. It could also lead to the personal life of the female hydrologist who was the main character in the first season of High Water. We will let you know if any new official news or updates come.
The series High Water is based on actual events. In 1997, a terrible flood was in Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. In High Water, the main character is a woman named Jasmina, a hydrologist. She is brought to Wroclaw. She tries to get the authorities to understand how bad things are, but they don’t listen.

Even though it made people nervous, the government and officials weren’t ready to accept the facts.
The senior hydrologists kept criticizing Jasmina to show that they were right. When the government thought there couldn’t be a bigger problem than the flood, another big problem arose. The problem was trying to get the people to leave their homes.
Hospitals were the first places to be evacuated. They also show how some victims try to save the village and their personal lives from the flood. They also show what Jasmina Tremor, a hydrologist, does in her free time.
