The ninth season of The Blacklist is almost complete in the United States, but fans in the United Kingdom have been itching to find out when they will finally be let in on Reddington’s most recent scandal.
Since the production of season 10 has been given the go-ahead, we are aware that there will be no evidence of the series stopping down for at least the next year; but, as is customary for Brits, we are always a few steps behind what is happening.
We are relieved to finally have some answers after what seems like an age of waiting (and it truly has been, as we will demonstrate in a moment), since we have been waiting for them.
The time has finally come for you to get caught up on The Blacklist. Here is all the information you need to know.
Blacklist Season 9 Release Date
The first episode of the season aired on NBC on October 21, 2021, but after that, it disappeared from view. Since that time, it has been extremely difficult to accurately forecast when exactly The Blacklist season 9 will premiere given that the outbreak is still ongoing.

Blacklist Season 9 Plot
Liz’s death was sure to cause major effects, given she had major ties with Red and Ressler.
Season 9 jumps ahead two years to see how the FBI Task Force has moved on after losing a member.
Red disappears after Liz’s death, and the squad disbands at the start of the season. Red discovers who may have attacked Liz, so they quickly reunite.

Red is desperate to cast blame for what he feels was a preventable tragedy. Dembe, a now-FBI agent, was the spark when he and his colleague were injured. They recruit the task force to find Red. Even with Redback, their relationships are more fragmented than ever, and two years without Liz has hurt everyone.
Dembe tries to assassinate Red’s business rival Boukman Baptiste but kills his son instead. Dembe joins the FBI to repent for his mistakes.
Red learns through GPS data that Vandyke couldn’t have followed Dembe on Liz’s murder day, implying someone else led Vandyke to Liz.
He and Dembe made amends, and now they’re looking for Vandyke’s benefactor.
The seventh episode focuses on Ressler’s life following Liz’s death. After finding her corpse, he rushed after Red with a fury, wound up in a drunken automobile crash, and turned in his pistol and badge.
Two years later, he’s ready to face the world without Liz thanks to a hotel manager and her son.
Red’s condition has led to predictions that he may die in the series. If season 9 is the last, as many assume, it may be a fitting end.
The season’s timing was confirmed in an unexpected way. James Spader shaved his head for the Blacklist pilot.
“Actors are burdened by everything they’ve done previously,” Spader remarked at the Television Critics Tour in Beverly Hills (via EW).
“I thought that would be a beautiful moment when he surrenders and takes off his hat,” Spader said.
“He’s been moving for 20 years. I believed he should have a haircut he could do himself or get in Cambodia in 10 minutes. Also, his clothing. He wears bank-to-cave clothing.”
Spader was recently interviewed on Late Night With Seth Meyers on his shorter hair in season nine.
Meyers: “In the tape, you had a shaved head.” “Is that a bald cap or…”

“No,” responded Spader. “Shaved. It’s not far “He pointed to his short hair.
“This year starts two years later, and he was gone for a number of years and got awful mange and hot spots; they had to get rid of it and start again.”
