The wild and frequently violent activities of Emma Grossman will continue in The Bad Seed Returns, which will make its debut on September 5. Emma will get the opportunity to start over at a new school; however, Kat, who is portrayed by Ella Dixon and is aware of everything that Emma is doing, will be keeping a careful eye on her. HollywoodLife had an EXCLUSIVE interview with Ella, who shared her thoughts on the dynamic between Kat and Emma.
Ella remarked, “Right from the bat, you have that friction with Kat coming in and kind of back into Emma’s life.” “Kat is one tough cookie; she’s seen and been through a lot in her life,” I often think to myself. There’s a lot of fragility to her that I don’t think she’s fully letting on about, and I think that it’s that fragility that really sort of drives her goal to confront Emma in a sense. It is the conflict and the tension that we see throughout the entire film that really kind of puts Emma in a situation that we have never really seen her in before.
Ella emphasized to the audience that they will see Mckenna Grace’s character, Emma, in a “far different place than she wishes to be in the first film.” Currently, she is residing with her aunt. She has, to some extent, been accustomed to the way things are for teenagers. She is a high school student who is also on the dance team and figuring out how to navigate life. She is much more submerged in the environment than we saw her in the first movie; therefore, you are sort of turning the character on her head a little bit.”
Ella continues by saying that Emma is “far more unpredictable, and she’s much more cunning about the way that she goes about things.” Again, there is simply this disruption that comes with Kat, in which we see her in a location that is really different from where she normally is, and in which she has truly met her match. I believe things will develop in a way that will be extremely intriguing to see.”
When seeing The Bad Seed Returns, the young actress found herself most fascinated by Kat’s “fragility.” She went on to say that “that was one of the most significant things I’ve learnt as well just that in every human, in every situation, and everything we ever do, springs from vulnerability of some form.” “It depends on the person, and how they choose to display that vulnerability, but it’s always there.” It was incredibly impactful for me to get a solid understanding of it and begin to investigate how that is manifesting itself in Kat’s life and the circumstances she finds herself in. I believe that it was a big assistance in enhancing both my comprehension of her and of the events that took place.”

In spite of the fact that Kat and Emma had a contentious relationship, Ella cherished her time spent laboring beside Mckenna. Ella expressed her admiration for McKenna by telling HollywoodLife that he is “such a fantastic performer and writer.” McKenna is also a wonderful person. “Having the opportunity to split the screen with her was a lot of fun. She brings such a strong presence to the part of Emma, which is one of my favorites of hers. On Lifetime, The Bad Seed Returns will be broadcast at 8 o’clock on September 5th.
