Maverick from Top Gun is a formidable opponent. He should not be underestimated.
The film starring Tom Cruise has already earned over one billion dollars at box offices around the world and has rapidly become Paramount’s most successful film of all time.
The movie’s digital release became the top week-one title in the history of the industry just this past week.
It should not come as a surprise that Maverick has been deemed the best movie of the summer, and it has recently achieved yet another landmark.
At the American box office, the film’s total earnings have officially surpassed $700 million.

It is now official that Top Gun: Maverick has earned enough money at the domestic box office to rank sixth among all movies.
For now, the only films to earn more money stateside are Black Panther ($700,426,566), Avatar ($760,507,625), Spider-Man: No Way Home ($806,543,477), Avengers: Endgame ($858,373,000), and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens ($936,662,225).
With a worldwide total of $1,425,604,744, Top Gun: Maverick is currently the 12th highest-grossing film of all time and ranks 12th overall in terms of its total earnings.
The most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly had an interview that had been conducted with Jerry Bruckheimer.
It was Bruckheimer who was in charge of producing the movie Top Gun: Maverick.
During our interview, he discussed the recent success of the movie and even made some analogies to Marvel-related concepts.
“I think audiences have been seeing so much CGI, which is wonderful, I go see the same movies, but it’s also nice to see the real deal and to be part of a camaraderie of characters that get up in the sky and have to be as good as they can be,” Bruckheimer explained.
