Sam Fortner, a new patient of Alan Strauss who turns out to be a serial killer, is portrayed in the new series by Domhnall Gleeson, while Alan Strauss, a therapist who is currently dealing with his own issues as well as the recent loss of his wife, is portrayed by Steve Carrell.
Sam wants to kidnap Alan and hold him bound in the cellar of his house to help him manage his deadly need to kill anyone he considers disrespectful.

On September 27, a brand-new Hulu series called The Rookie: Feds will premiere. The show is a spinoff of Alexi Hawley’s The Rookie, an ABC police procedural crime drama.
Simone Clark, who joined the FBI Academy at the age of 48 after a lengthy career in education, will be portrayed by Niecy Nash and is the primary character of the show.
In the fourth season of the original series, the character was initially introduced when Simone was contacted by the FBI’s Los Angeles branch when one of her former students was accused of terrorism.
In The Rookie: Feds, Special Agent Matthew Garza is portrayed by Felix Solis, and Christopher “Cutty” Clark is portrayed by Frankie Faison.
