Even though it’s hard to picture Jessica Simpson, star of Newlyweds, as a full-fledged mother, she recently sent her two older children off to school, and we couldn’t be happier for her! Jess posted a picture of her daughters Maxwell, 10, and Ace, 9, on their first day of school on Wednesday, August 31.
Ace, 9, was seen wearing cargo shorts and a navy-blue collared top, and Maxwell, 10, was seen wearing a top that was similar to Ace’s along with a blue plaid skirt. Both wore sneakers and smiled as widely as Jessica Simpson’s children would be expected to smile.
The designer tycoon, who is 42 years old, captioned the picture by saying, “These two had a great first day of school!” “I’m so proud! The heart is complete. Growing up and taking ownership of it.
Happy children.” Jessica and her athlete husband Eric Johnson, 42, are also the proud parents of a gorgeous daughter named Birdie, who is three years old and stayed at home with mom apparently to keep her company.
Jessica revealed in her blog post from the previous year what it’s like to be a mother, particularly in this day and age of COVID-19.
She told PEOPLE in March 2021 comments, “I definitely had to multitask on a whole new level this year, between my kids being in school on Zoom and being a working mom, keeping the Jessica Simpson Collection running remotely, and pushing through inspired ideas that became endless and so many rewarded all while keeping my family smiling.”

It seems as though she took that advice to heart since from the time Bridie was born on March 19, 2019, and on her recent 42nd birthday, she lost about 100 pounds.
Alongside a breathtaking photograph of the night sky illuminated by the moon, she captioned the post on July 11 with the words, “Oh Lil Mrs. 42, look at you leanin’ into the moonbeams to recharge and radiate a purposeful bright heart.”
I have a lot of pride in my religion, my ability to bounce back from adversity, and my strength throughout the past four decades.
As a result of all that has happened or will happen in my life, turning 42 is going to be a very exciting experience for me since I now know what it takes on a personal level to maintain determined patience. I am aware of who I am, and the truth is that I adore her.
