The question of whether or not Gwen and Dieter will meet up again was posed to the British actress Emmanuel in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The topic of discussion centred on the film Army of Thieves.
“I have no idea what will happen to those characters in the story’s progression. “I mean, I’ve heard rumours about future events, but I couldn’t tell you anything specific about what is going to happen if anything is going to happen at all.”
Both an animated series titled Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, which is currently in the post-production phase, and a direct sequel to the Army of the Dead film titled Planet of the Dead, which is currently in the planning stage, are planned for the continuation of the Army of the Dead franchise.
Emmanuel continued, saying, “But I fully agree that it would be a lot of fun for those two [Dieter and Gwen] to be back together again.
The progression of their narrative was an absolute blast, particularly when viewed from Gwen’s perspective. She goes from being extremely aggravated by this man to gradually developing feelings of attraction toward him. (Laughs.)
The dynamic between them as a whole was so enjoyable, and I would jump at the chance to do it again. To that end, let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Emmanuel followed by saying, “But I completely concur with you that it would be a great deal of pleasure for those two [Dieter and Gwen] to be back together again.
The development of their story was an absolute joy to follow, in particular when seen from Gwen’s point of view. She goes from being quite annoyed by this man to slowly developing sentiments of desire toward him as time goes on. (Laughs.)
I would jump at the chance to do it again because the chemistry between them as a whole was so pleasant to experience as a whole. In light of this, let’s continue to keep our fingers crossed.
