Gunn is the person responsible for the Guardians of the Galaxy movies that were released by Marvel. He has also worked in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) on The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker TV series.
In the course of his career in the field of superhero movies, Gunn has collaborated with a large number of well-known actors, and he frequently works with the same performers on multiple occasions.
There is no question that he has his favourites, but he also has a “big list” of actors that he will never collaborate with.
When it comes to choosing people to work with, Gunn places a strong emphasis on preparation, timeliness, and, most crucially, attitude. He did this by responding to questions posed to him on his Twitter account. In addition to this, he disclosed that if an actor isn’t working out, he is always open to recasting the role.
During a question and answer session, Gunn stated that he would quickly recast the role “if it’s their temperament and it’s serious.” “Life is too short to waste time on jackasses.
The same goes for someone being chronically very late, which is one of my pet peeves, or unprepared. I have an extensive list of performers, both A-list and otherwise, that I will never collaborate with because of these factors.
“If it’s performance related and they’re putting their all into it, I’ll do everything on my end to make it work until it’s absolutely clear that the quality of the project will be perceivably harmed if we don’t recast,” Gunn added.

The Character Baby Groot From “Guardians of the Galaxy”
Although Gunn is known for introducing comedic films to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is obvious that he does not consider the casting process to be humorous.
It would appear that before working with anyone in Hollywood, he conducts his research on potential team members and consults with those in the entertainment industry with whom he has placed his trust.

If it turns out that they are jerks (not just grumpy or curmudgeons, but true jerks), I won’t hire them. Some actors who I am already familiar with are never even going to be considered.
