The dog days of summer are soon coming to an end, and with the arrival of cooler weather comes the ringing of class bells,
the slamming of lockers, and the thrill (mixed with a touch of fear) of the beginning of a new school year.
One thing appears to be consistent among schools across the United States, and that is the large number of Sprayground backpacks that can be found walking the corridors.
Sprayground has successfully combined functionality and style, resulting in the creation of a brand that is not only seen as hip but also continues to see strong consumer demand.
This is something that can be seen in the pop-up store that the company has in Times Square.
EXCLUSIVE: David BenDavid, founder and creative director of Sprayground, tells HollywoodLife, “It feels fantastic to be back in the city where our journey began.
” Sprayground is known for its innovative spray paint designs.
BenDavid comments on the pop-up shop located in New York City, saying, “We just celebrated our 12th anniversary, so it felt fitting to launch our biggest pop-up shop here.
” The pop-up shop, which can be found at 200 West 42nd Street in Times Square,
will be open from now until September 5 and will culminate with a runway show on September 8 as part of New York Fashion Week.
Fans can visit the store in the meantime to look through the most recent collections and see the enormous cherry red T-Rex model that is stuffed with backpacks.
BenDavid tells HollywoodLife that “we worked incredibly hard to give our followers the most immersive experience ever with our shop.
” Because Sprayground is known for pushing the envelope, we knew we had to come up with something truly unique and innovative that we had never attempted before.
That is what this new pop-up is all about.
David BenDavid, who is no stranger to the world of music, is well aware that his brand is inextricably linked to both pop culture and street culture.
In this EXCLUSIVE interview, he explains why the brand is stepping up its game by collaborating with additional online games,
what the next decade holds in store for Sprayground, and he presents an Exclusive playslist.
David BenDavid: We want to take fans on a journey through the past, the present, and the future with this pop-up,
and there is no better way to portray the past than with a building in the shape of an iconic T-Rex.
Everyone, young and old, enjoys doing it so much! Following the conclusion of the pop-up, we will be returning the Tyrannosaurus to the time of the Jurassic, also known as my garden.
This new collection is an exercise in artistic lunacy done in the most original and sincere way possible; each bag has its own tale that makes it distinctive from the others in the collection.
We have incorporated designs that have never been seen before, new patterns, monograms, and re-imagined styles that are crammed to the brim with our swag, and the fans are loving it!
How would you characterise the taste of those who are currently in their 20s and 30s? What distinguishes GenZ’s interests from those of older Millennials, in your opinion? If you could state, what’s trendy and what’s not, what would they be?
Additionally, we have noticed an uptick in the number of gaming collaborations, and one that should not be overlooked this year is our Call of Duty capsule collection.
We received bears, bear hugs, duffle bags, backpacks, cross bodies, and even a gaming chair! The realm of video games continues to expand at a rapid rate.
This year, we have also participated in some very cool collaborations with the video games Street Fighter, League of Legends, and Fortnite. All of these projects have been a huge success for us, and our fans are constantly asking us to do more.
The appeal of Sprayground lies in the fact that I observe members of Generation Z and Millennials collecting our designs.
We create designs that appeal to everyone, so no matter what your sense of style may be, you’ll find something here that helps you express who you are.
