Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, will visit the state of Michigan on Tuesday, which also happens to be the day of the primary election in the state, to speak about the billions of dollars in funding that has been authorised by Congress and pushed by his administration to bring more semiconductor chip manufacturing to the United States.
The White House said on Saturday that Vice President Biden will visit Hemlock, which is located close to Saginaw, to offer statements regarding the passing of the $280 billion chip bill this week. There was no more information that could be obtained right away.
It was not immediately clear where Vice President Biden planned to deliver his remarks; however, he is currently en route to an area that is the location of Hemlock Semiconductor, a company that manufactures polysilicon chips that are used in solar panels. Governor Gretchen Whitmer made a visit to the facility earlier on in this year.
The Vice President will travel to Hemlock, which is located near Saginaw, to make statements supporting the passage of the $280 billion chip bill this week, according to the White House, which announced on Saturday that Vice President Biden will visit Hemlock.

Additionally, Biden will be travelling to Michigan on the same day that voters in the state will select major party nominees for upcoming elections to state and congressional offices in November. In her primary, Whitmer will face no competition.
This will be Vice President Biden’s first trip to the state of Michigan in 2019, following making five trips there in 2021.
