Doc Antle, the ‘Tiger King’ Star, Was Apprehended by the FBI in the Myrtle Beach Area

Details about his arrest could not be published until the case was unsealed, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

Two additional males were detained and placed in the Horry County detention centre by the FBI on Friday, but it’s unclear if they’re connected to Antle’s case. All three are still being held in jail.

In Virginia, Antle has already been charged with a misdemeanour and felony wildlife trafficking and animal cruelty. According to online court records, a trial on those counts will begin on Oct. 31.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals recently requested an investigation into Antle’s nonprofit, stating that it was mostly used to fund his for-profit company.

In an April 2020 investigation, The Sun News found various anomalies linked to Antle’s nonprofit, as well as his claims of conservation and breeding procedures.
