According to an NBC Sports Bay Area report, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry will return to the starting lineup for the team’s Game 5 clash against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
Monte Pool of the network sent out a tweet saying, “Multiple sources: All indications are that the Warriors will start Game 5 vs. DEN with a short lineup. Stephen Curry has moved into the starting lineup, Kevon Looney has justify, and Draymond Green has moved to the centre. In accordance with what Shams Charania (of The Athletic) has previously stated.”
In a tweet sent out earlier Wednesday, Charania stated that there was “momentum” toward making the transfer.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry has came off the bench in each of the team’s first four meetings with the Nuggets this season.

Curry averaged 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in 64 regular-season games (all starts). Despite playing only 28 minutes a game during the series, he’s averaging 27.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game on the season.
The Warriors have a three-game lead over the Nuggets in the Western Conference first-round series, which is now underway.
