You’ve surely heard about the various federal stimulus payouts, but did you know that there is also a Golden State stimulus that is only accessible to California citizens who meet certain criteria?
The state of California will provide a one-time payment of $600 or $1,200.
If you’re not sure if you got the stimulus money, here are some simple things to follow.
There were two Golden State Stimulus payouts in all. To receive $600, claim the California Earned Income Tax Credit on your 2020 California tax return, or file your 2020 tax return with an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) and up to $75,000 to receive $1,200.
You can use this state-provided calculator by entering information such as your filing status, income amount, number of qualifying children, social security number, and more.
Simply fill in the blanks to determine how much money you should receive from the state of California as part of the Golden State Stimulus.
If you earn more than the qualifying amount of money, you might not be eligible.
