A few months ago, Quinn Ewers, a former five-star quarterback prospect from Ohio State, shocked the football world by deciding to transfer.
It didn’t take him long to declare that he was transferred to the University of Texas to play football. Many fans have recently wondered why he decided to attend Ohio State and then promptly transfer out.
He told the media about his choice earlier this week.
Ewers knew he wanted to play for them after seeing the Longhorns play so much as a kid growing up. It wasn’t easy getting here, but I’m grateful for God’s possibilities, and I’m looking forward to being back in my hometown.

Ewers explained that he was moving to be closer to his family as the reason for his move. “At the end of the day, I just wanted to be closer to my family and friends and things like that,” he explained.
It was “emotional” for Ewers when he initially decided to commit to Ohio State.
“I feel like I’ve gotten more emotionally invested in this.” Nonetheless, Ewers ended up where he thought he should be at the end of the day, and that was all there was to it. “It’s all in the past now. ” I try to keep my mind off of it all. “I try to retain a clear head and concentrate on the task.”
