According to journalist Mike Verweij, Erik ten Hag’s possible opinion on the future and current circumstances of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo have lately been exposed.
Ronaldo’s future is still up in the air, as recent reports have claimed that the Portuguese had a say in the club’s choice not to appoint Antonio Conte as manager and that he has expressed his dissatisfaction with the club’s results under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in public.
The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf recently published an interview with Verweij in which he stated what Ten Hag’s attitude on Ronaldo’s situation may be.
According to the writer, despite all of Ronaldo’s previous achievements, the Portuguese star will have to ‘win over’ Ten Hag since the Dutch coach wants his players to first prove themselves to him.
For Ronaldo, the situation will be the same. “He is very much into the players, and a lot of them have, at first, become disinterested in his work,” the journalist explained.
