Bianca Belair Will Fight Sonya Deville for the Raw Women’s Championship

A WWE on-screen official, Sonya Deville, will challenge RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair for the championship.

Belair defeated Queen Zelina Vega in a non-title contest on WWE Raw. Deville began with a drum roll and a dramatic introduction but immediately turned around and assaulted Belair from behind, thrashing her. Deville returned to the ring following the match with an open contract for Belair’s next opponent, her first since reclaiming the title from Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 earlier this month.

Deville then revealed herself as Belair’s next championship challenger. Backstage, her colleague Adam Pearce confronted her and accused her of abusing power. Deville stated that if she wins the RAW Women’s Title, she will be the first WWE official to respond to an open challenge. Deville also told Pearce that he wouldn’t be able to stop her from confronting Belair and making history.

“Don’t be envious that I’m still in my prime,” Deville added, taking a jab at Pearce.

As shown in the video below, Sarah Schreiber got up with Belair for her thoughts on Deville. “I stay to read, so I don’t have to get ready, and I’ve been wearing titles and making history for a year while Sonya Deville has been wearing suits and making matches.” So, let’s go ahead and do it,” Belair added.

Deville has recently worked on several TVs and live event matches. During the WrestleMania 38 Season, she had feuds with Ronda Rousey and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi but fell short against Aliyah at four WWE live events in late March. Deville will face Belair in his first TV singles match since losing to Rousey on SmackDown on March 4th.
