Another Pittsburgh Steeler expressed his sorrow at Dwayne Haskins’ death on Saturday. Big Ben Roethlisberger, the recently retired quarterback, was the person this time.
Saturday night, the quarterback sent a statement to his Twitter account that he and his wife, Ashley, had written together.
Roethlisberger began, “I only had the luxury of knowing D-Hask for a brief time.” But at that period, I met a young man who never seemed to have a bad day. He came to work every day with a smile on his face and a heart full of enthusiasm and love.”

Haskins’ widow, Kalabrya, also received a note from the Roethlisbergers.
“We want you to know that we are thinking of you and praying for you….” We know you’re a strong lady of faith, and we’re confident you’ll make it through this. Ben and Ashley, with love.”
Haskins had sadly died while strolling on the roadway in South Florida when he was struck by a dump truck. The 24-year-death old’s was announced early Saturday morning, leaving many people in shock.
