The Los Angeles Dodgers have added another All-Star player for the 2022 season.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox reached an agreement on a blockbuster trade on Friday morning. In return for All-Star reliever Craig Kimbrel, Los Angeles will send outfielder A.J. Pollock to Chicago.
The Dodgers’ bullpen will be bolstered as a result of the move. However, it’s impossible to disregard the fact that Pollock was part of the arrangement. Last season, he hit.297 with 114 hits and 69 RBIs. It will be difficult to replace those figures.
Craig Kimbrel, on the other hand, struggled in his 24 outings last season. He had a 5.09 ERA after allowing 13 runs. Given that they traded A.J Pollock to get Kimbrel, the Dodgers evidently feel he can bounce back.
The Dodgers have traded AJ Pollock to the White Sox for Craig Kimbrel, per source.

The MLB world is buzzing about the Dodgers-White Sox deal that happened on Friday:
“Woahh. I didn’t notice them doing it. But it appeals to me. In the offensive line, they have ample alternatives.”
Woahh. Didn’t see them doing this. But I like it. They have enough options in the OF. https://t.co/980PsHpbQV

Wow. Decent trade for both teams. I think the Sox got the better end though. #MLB #HotStove https://t.co/jNLyZlqYmt

White Sox using their bullpen depth to get an OF with an OPS near .900 the past two seasons is a massive W for them. https://t.co/QooqxuQl2K

A rare WIN – WIN trade. Dodgers had 263748 good hitters already & White Sox had 263748 good bullpen pieces. https://t.co/BBuEluc33E

This is an incredible trade for the White Sox and beyond my wildest expectations for a Kimbrel return. Pollock has hit .290/.342/.547 with a 135 wRC+, .888 OPS, and the underlying metrics to back it up over the last two years. Easily makes a horrible offseason much more palatable https://t.co/XHa7KkiPnR
