World-wide security Tyrann Mathieu is still unsigned as we approach April and the end of the first big wave of free agency. However, as he continues to seek potential NFL offers, he stated that one coach has contacted him.
During an appearance on The Jordy Culotta Show, Mathieu said that he had been speaking with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin over the phone. He didn’t say they addressed the potential of a transaction, but he did show curiosity in the idea.
“It’s still fun talking to all the coaches, because some of these people are… Mike Tomlin has dialled your number… ‘Hey, oh this Mike T.,’ he’d say. You know, just being able to converse to these guys is a blessing in and of itself.”
